Red Sea Facts:
- The Red Sea is the only enclosed coral sea in the world. The Red Sea is the
saltiest sea in the world with 41 parts of the salt per 1,000 parts of water.
- The Red Sea is the warmest Sea in the world. Temperature range from 19˚C
up to 30˚C depending on the season and which part measured.
- Over 1000 species live in the Red Sea which means that there are more fish
species living in the Red sea than in any other body in the water the same
size.
- The Red Sea stretching 2,250 kilometers from Suez Canal in the north of
the Yemen in the south . Its width is up to 350 kilometers and it has over
2000 kilometers of fringing reefs.
About Hurghada
Until about 15 years age Hurghada was just a small fishing village. Since
then there has been some major investment in tourism development, and the last
8 years it has grown rapidly to become number one tourist resort of the Red
Sea coast.
Many activities like windsurfing, kite boarding. Snorkeling and diving attracting
millions of guests every year. Not forgetting the perfect weather conditions,
with hot and dry summer and a very mild winter season.
Many guests take the opportunity while they are so close, to either visit the
Pyramids, Sphinx and Cairo’s Museum, with its own display King Tutankhamen’s
treasures, plus many other unbelievable artifacts or take an organized tour
of Luxor situated on the River Nile, with there own Karnak Temple and fascinating
tombs on the west bank
Hurghada has miles and miles of beautiful beaches ideal fro the single traveler
and families alike who can enjoy the sun and fun of the private resort beaches,
some all inclusive. This makes Hurghada a holiday destination for 365 days
of the year. Hurghada has two busy areas. One is called El Dahar (downtown)
which is the old center in Hurghada. The other is called El Sekalla, which
in the last several years has become in the new center in town, both areas
offer plenty of shopping possibilities, with great selection of clothing jewellery,
leather, shoes and many presents to take back home at very reasonable prices.
Hurghada has it all - the Sea , the Sun, the Hotels of different standard
for different budgets, many restaurants across town and coming nightlife for
some of our night Owls and many bars and clubs to help you to enjoy your evenings.
There are now about 200 Hotels. And Hurghada is still a city under development,
with more new hotels and retail outlets still under construction.
